The City of Fayetteville is proud to present its Bicentennial Celebration on June 3, with a full calendar of exciting activities taking place at both Historic Courthouse Lawn and City Center Park. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant marketplace, lively music, the famous Fayetteville Falcons, and a beautiful fireworks display. The Makers Market food truck lineup is truly impressive, featuring Arnaud’s BBQ, Mommies Empanadas, Wing & Waffle Factory, The Cereal Lab, and Sunset Slush. Refreshing beverages will be available from Gremlin Growlers, Awkward Brewery, and Line Creek Bus Barn. Mayor Ed Johnson is taking the stage at City Center Park to welcome the community and officially begin the Bicentennial Celebration at 5 p.m., followed by amazing live performances from The New Quintet, The Tyler Neal Band, and headliner Forrest Isn’t Dead. It’s sure to be a night to remember!
The evening will be capped off with an awe-inspiring ten-minute fireworks show at 9:30 p.m., and the celebration will continue into the night with Encore After Dark from 9:45 p.m. to 11 p.m. featuring soloist David Baty and Twisted Taco’s bar.
We are proud to celebrate Fayetteville’s 200 years of history with a plethora of exciting activities, including special guests Freddie Falcon and the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders hosting an inflatables fun zone for kids. Ample parking will be available throughout Downtown Fayetteville, and maps are being developed to help guide visitors. Fayetteville has grown exponentially in the two centuries since its founding, boasting a population of 19,000 residents within city limits and tens of thousands more who call it their hometown. This incredible growth and success is something that all of its citizens can celebrate with pride.
